FAQs

If you're anything like me, you like to do your research and have all of your bases covered. I wanted to create a portion of my website for you to do just that. These are the most commonly asked questions I get and my answers to them! I hope you find this page useful, but as always, feel free to reach out to me at hello@reneechristinephotography.com with any additional questions you might have!

Common Questions

What's your style?

I am a natural light photographer who has a light and airy editing style. My goal is to ensure that when you look back on these photos in 20 years they are timeless (we want to avoid any #2005InstagramFilterVibes.) and true to life. I do edit each photo but my packages do not include dramatic or heavy editing (i.e. making subjects thinner, fixing grown out roots, etc.)

While each gallery is different, I have a bright and airy theme throughout all of my galleries that you can see on my "Portfolio" page here on this website or on my Instagram page.

I have a more laid-back approach when it comes to photography. I like to get my clients both posed and more organic photos. In my book, stuffy, awkward, forced posed photos should be a thing on past. I work with my clients to provide photos that are true to who they are.

Help! I have no idea what to wear.

Wear what you feel comfortable and confident in. Neutrals and blues look great on everyone. Stick with soft colors and avoid any bold patterns.

For a deeper dive into how to plan your wardrobe for your upcoming shoot, feel free to check out my "Light & Airy Style Guide." You can grab your copy of this on my homepage under the tab at the top titled "Free Resources for You."

After the shoot, when can I expect to receive my online gallery?

I will email you a link to access your private, online gallery within 2 weeks after your photoshoot. Every photo is high-res, fully edited and you will be able to download them as use them as you wish.

I also give the option to purchase a rush-fee for clients who need their galleries delivered sooner than the 2 week period. For $100 you can ensure that you will get your gallery delivered 4 days after your photoshoot took place. For more information, please see my "Pricing" page.

Do you work with any vendors?

Yes! I am a big believer in supporting local small businesses and I do have a handful of vendors that I work with.

Due to busy schedules, it's important to book with myself and any vendors you are interested well in advance in order to make sure we can schedule your shoot accordingly. You can check out who my vendors are towards the bottom of my "Pricing" page.

How do I book a session with Renee Christine Photography?

First let me know that you're interested! You can fill out a contact form on my "Home" page or on my "Let's Connect" page. You'll tell me a little bit more about what package you'd like to book, your ideal photoshoot date and a little more information.

Shortly after that, I will reach back out to you so that we can nail down your time and location. After that I will draft up and send you a customized proposal with a contract and a non-refundable retainer to be paid.

Once both the contract is signed and the non-refundable retainer are taken care of, you will have officially booked your shoot!

How do I pick a location?

Thankfully we are shooting in beautiful San Diego where weather is pretty darn close to perfect year-round. However, I do offer a list of dreamy locations that I offer my clients and I share that list while we are planning the upcoming shoot.

If you have a specific location in mind, I will always try my best to accommodate photographing your session at that location, however, please understand that locations outside of any that I provide/recommend are not guaranteed.

We've never had professional photos. Will you help with poses?

Yes, of course!

I am here to help you get gorgeous, dreamy photos and one big part of that is making sure that you feel and look comfortable. One worry that many of my clients have is that they have never had professional pictures taken of them. And that's okay! It's not your job to walk into our shoot knowing exactly how to pose and #whattodowithyourhands (hint: ladies, think "princess hands").

I'll let you know what to do, where to look, where to stand, etc. in order to get the most flattering photos of you. While I do like to get some posed shots, for most of the session, I will just give you general direction and prompts which translate on camera far more naturally.

Have a question that wasn't answered above?

I'd love to hear it! Please fill out this form and I will get back to you as quickly as possible!
